Alamo Brewing was founded in San Antonio Texas in 2014 by Eugene Simor. Their facility cost $8 million, and with a large capacity capable of contract brewing, they formed a relationship with Viva Beer (also located in San Antonio) in 2022, and the following year merged with Viva. Both brands were later discontinued, and Alamo went bankrupt in 2025. The company was acquired at auction later that year by Australian private equity firm SKJ Capital.
