Bourgogne des Flandres beer was introduced by the Den Os brewery in Bruges, Belgium in 1911. When that brewery shut down in 1957, the brand was purchased by Brouwerij Verhaeghe. They held the rights to the beer until the early 1990s, when the brand was sold again to Brasserie Timmermans, which was a subsidiary of John Martin Brewery (later renamed Anthony Martin Brewery).
