Budweiser is a globally recognized beer brand that was created in the year 1876 by Anheuser-Busch. It is named after the city of Budweis (now České Budějovice) in what is now the Czech Republic. In 2008, Anheuser-Busch was acquired by InBev, a Belgian/Brazilian multinational brewing conglomerate, forming Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev). As a result, AB InBev is the current owner of the Budweiser brand.
