Young’s Brewery was founded in 1831 in the Wandsworth district of London, United Kingdom by Charles Young and Anthony Bainbridge. The brewery was family-run until 2006, when it merged with Wells Brewery to become Wells & Young’s Brewery, with the Young family taking a 40% stake in the business. That stake was later sold to Wells in 2011, and in 2017 the Wells & Young’s company was sold to the Carlsberg Group.
