Legal Draft Brewing was founded in 2016 in Arlington, Texas by Greg McCarthy and Curt Taylor. McCarthy had previously been an attorney, which contributed to the legal theme of the brewery. In March of 2022, the brewery shut down, and later that year was purchased by Bishop Cider, who owns the assets but does not brew that brand anymore.
