Four Bullets Brewery was founded in 2015 in Richardson, Texas by Andrew Smeeton and Jeff Douglas, two homebrewers that brewed together since the early 2000s. The beer, which is described by the brewery as “English Ale with a Texas Twist,” is inspired by Smeeton’s native England. In 2023, Smeeton sold his stake in the business to Douglas, as well as three other couples who had been working with the brewery for some years: Doug Steele (who is also head brewer) and his wife Shelly Kautz, Colin and Anne Nichol, and Chris Manning and Milena Jave Ganem. Douglas and his wife Theresa are now majority owners in the business.
