Radeberger Brewery was founded in 1872 in Radeberg, Germany, originally as the Zum Bergkeller brewery. In 1885 it changed its name to Radeberger Export-Bierbrauerei AG. Due to economic issues, the brewery was liquidated in 1903, and the rights were purchased by Deutsche Bierbrauerei AG. When the East German government gained power in 1946, it took control of the brewery until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, at which point it was purchased by Binding Brauerei. Binding was purchased by Oetker Gruppe in 2004, and their brewery division became known as Radeberger Gruppe.
