Tin Roof Brewing Company was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2010 by Charles Caldwell and William McGehee. Caldwell left the enterprise in 2019, and it is now owned by McGehee, Chief Operation Officer Cammy McGehee, and Chris Boyce.
