Napa Smith Brewery was founded in Napa, California in 2008 by Kathleen Smith and her husband Greg Cutuli . In 2010, the company declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy stemming from a civil judgment brought buy Smith’s former business partner, and Napa Smith was sold to Pelican Brands, a private equity firm based out of Indiana that also managed the Singha Beer business in the United States. Pelican eventually became a subsidiary of Paddington Brands, which sold the Napa Smith brand to RS Lipman, based out of Tennessee, in 2013.
