Flying Embers hard kombucha was founded in 2017 by Bill Moses through his company Fermented Sciences in Ojai, California. It has gone through three rounds of funding, with investors including Anheuser-Busch InBev’s fund ZX Ventures, and Beam Suntory.
In early 2024, the company was reportedly in a “distressed situation” and was acquired by JuneShine in March.
