Tampa Bay Brewing Company was created in 1995 in Tampa Bay, Florida by John Doble and his family. In 1997, they opened their original location in the Ybor City neighborhood of Tampa Bay, and in 2006 they moved to a larger facility in Centro Ybor. In 2015, they expanded to a second location in Westchase. In 2022, John Doble left the company after he allegedly said, “If we hired more attractive bartenders, the place would be making more money.” Several of the bartenders walked out in protest, causing Doble to step back. His son, David Doble, now operates as the managing partner.
