Shotgun Seltzer was created in Austin, Texas in 2019 by Brad and Lori Foster. In 2022, the brand was purchased by San Marcos-based AquaBrew, but the founding company went out of business the following year.The closure threatened to leave Shotgun Seltzer “homeless” according to Alamo Beer Company founder Eugene Simor, and in 2023 his company purchased the Shotgun brand. The Fosters remain a part of the company.
