10 Barrel Brewing Company is an Oregon-based craft brewery that was founded in 2006 by twin brothers Jeremy and Chris Cox in Bend, Oregon. The team moved from Portland, Oregon to Bend to purchase a restaurant called Lucy’s Place, and renamed it JC’s Bar & Grill. Shortly thereafter, the brothers added a brewery, originally naming it Wildfire Brewing. However in 2009, the restaurant group Wildfire Restaurants filed a trademark dispute, and forced the brewery to change its name to 10 Barrel Brewing.
The brewery expanded to a 50 barrel brewhouse in 2011, and added a brewpub in Boise, Idaho in 2013. In 2014, 10 Barrel was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev, one of the world’s largest beer companies. The deal drew ire from the brand’s fans, and a backlash issued in Bend. However, the brand became one of the biggest craft-style brands in the country in the ensuing years. In 2023, AB InBev sold 10 Barrel to Tilray Brands, along with 7 other of the company’s brands, for $83.4 million.
