Stillwater Artisanal Ales was founded in 2010 in Baltimore, Maryland by Brian Strumke, a renowned DJ and music producer. At first, the brand was nomadic, working with other breweries to create beers on Stillwater’s behalf. The brand quickly gained renown, with RateBeer recognizing it as one of the best new breweries in 2011. It is widely considered one of the first nomadic brewers, setting off a trend amongst craft breweries. In 2020, the brand finally set down roots, working solely out of the Donate to help keep the site alive!
