Avid Cider was founded in 2013 in Bend, Oregon by Samantha Roberts and Dan McCoy. In 2019 the company launched the hard seltzer brand Seven Peaks, and in 2022 Roberts and McCoy sold both brands to Blake’s Cider, based out of Michigan. Roberts has stayed on as CEO of Avid, with McCoy serving in an advisory role. In 2023, Blake’S Hard Cider merged with Austin Eastciders, and the new company would be called Blake’s Beverage Company.
