Bell’s Brewery was established in 1985 in the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan, by Larry Bell, originally as the Kalamazoo Brewing Company. It became popularly known as Bell’s Brewery, and legally changed its name to such in 2006. In 2021, Japanese beer company Kirin Holdings bought Bell’s through its Australian subsidiary Lion.
