Bike Rack Brewing was founded in Bentonville, Arkansas in 2014 by Steve Outain, Jeff Charlson, Andy Neilsen, Joey Lange, Jeff and Phyllis Amerine, and Rickey Draehn. In 2017, Outain sued the rest of the owners, stating that the relationship had deteriorated and asking the court to determine a fair-market value of his shares to be bought out. The rest of the owners countersued, and in the end his shares were purchased by the company for just over $18,000.
