Blue Moon was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, the brewmaster from the Sandlot Brewery (owned by Coors Brewing Company) at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. In 2005, Coors merged with Molson, Inc to become Molson Coors. In Japan, the beer is brewed and sold by Hakutsuru Sake.
