Boundary Bay Brewing Company was founded in 1995 in Bellingham, Washington by Ed Bennett. Bennett, who had previously earned an MBA and a CPA license, decided to get a dual masters at University of California Davis in Wine Chemistry and finance. After completing his studies, he leased an old transit company station and began building the brewery there.
