Brasseries Champignuelles was founded in Champignuelles, France in 1897 by Antoine Trampitsch and Victor Hinzelin. The brewery merged in 1966 with Brasserie de Charmes and Brasseries de la Meuse to become Société Européenne de Brasserie. That company was purchased by BSN in 1970, which became known as Danone in 1973. In 2000, the Champignuelles brand was sold to Scottish & Newcastle, who then sold it again to TCB Beverages in 2006.
