Fair Winds Brewing Company was founded in 2015 in Lorton, Virginia by Casey Jones. Jones was previously a member of the United States Coast Guard, and got the name for the brewery from his experience at sea. After Jones died in 2019, brewmaster Charlie Buettner took on the role of CEO, and ownership of the company passed to Casey’s son William Jones.
