Gaffel Brewery was founded in Cologne, Germany in 1908 by the Becker brothers, though the company claims a heritage dating back to the 14th century. The brothers founded the brewery in an inn which had formerly been a brewery dating back nearly 100 years, and originally called it In der Gaffel. The brewery is still owned by descendents of the Beckers.
