Geaghan Brothers Brewing Company was founded in 2011 in Bangor, Maine by the Geaghan family, who own Geaghan’s Pub, where the brewery resides. Husband and wife John and Arline Geaghan opened the restaurant in 1975, then known as John Geaghan’s Roundhouse Restaurant. In 1983, John passed away, and his children Chris, Larry, Peter, and Carolyn purchased the brewery from their mother. Chris and Carolyn eventually left the business, and Larry’s son Andrew joined the team in 2010. Andrew led the initiative to start brewing on site, and in 2011 the team opened up the brewhouse. In 2015, the company added a production facility nearby.
