Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company was founded in 2014 in Maxwelton, West Virginia by Wil Laska and David Kucera. In March of 2023, the company announced that it was closing and its employees were being furloughed. However, by September of that year, the brewery had been sold to Josh Bennett, owner of nearby Hawk Knob Cider.
