Isenbeck Brewery goes back to at least 1769, in Hamm, Germany, and was named by then-owner Albert Isenmark. It was a family business for hundreds of years, and grew throughout the 20th century until business pressures forced it to close down in 1990. It was then purchased by Warsteiner, who started brewing it and sending it abroad. It was popular in Cameroon before being discontinued in the 2010s, and is still brewed in Argentina under license by CCU.
