Jester King Brewery was founded in 2010 in Austin, Texas by Jeff Stuffings and Michael Steffing. The brewery sits on a 200 acre ranch, and uses only wild yeast in its beers. In 2011, the company sued the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, which previously only allowed beers under 4% to be labeled “beer.” Jester King won the lawsuit, and were lauded in the industry for their actions.
