Kentucky beer is created by the Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company, founded in Lexington, Kentucky by Pearse Lyons in 1999. Since then, the company has been rolled up into Lyons’ parent company Alltech, founded in 1980, which focuses on agricultural products, products for the food industry, and crop science. Although most of the brewery’s beers are under the Kentucky brand name, the company also sells some beers under the Lexington brand name.
