Website

Montejo is a beer brand that was created in the year 1960 in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, by Cervecería Yucateca to celebrate their 60th anniversary. In 1979, the brewery was purchased by Grupo Modelo, who held the brand until their purchase in 2013 by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Because the beer was not sold in the United States prior to the sale, AB InBev retained the rights to the brand globally, unlike other Grupo Modelo brands like Modelo and Corona, which had to be sold off to Constellation in the United States.
