Newport Craft Brewing was founded in 1999 in Newport, Rhode Island by Brent Ryan and Derek Luke. One of the first craft breweries in the state, they soon added distilling to their portfolio in 2006. In 2017, the company was sold to Brendan O’Donnell, owner of local distributor Horizon Beverage, and soon rebranded to Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling. The company later purchased Braven Brewing in 2019 and Radiant Pig Radiant Pig Brewing in 2020.
