Old Vienna was created by the Koch Beverage and Ice Company in the early 20th century in Wapakoneta, Ohio. Shortly after World War II, the company sold its alcoholic beverage business to Canadian Breweries Limited, which was later renamed to Carling O’Keefe. In 1987, Elders IXL purchased Carling O’Keefe, and then two years later merged with Molson Brewery to become Molson Breweries Canada. In 2005, Molson merged with Coors to become Molson Coors.
