The Omission beer brand was created in 2012 in the city of Portland, Oregon by Craft Brew Alliance (CBA), which at the time was partially owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev with a 32.2% stake. In 2019, they purchased the rest of CBA, making Widmer a wholy-owned subsidiary.
