Proper Brewing was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2013 by brothers Rio and Liam Connelly and Andrew Tendick. It was originally known as Avenues Proper, as its first location was located in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake. It has since expanded into two production breweries, in Moab and Downtown Salt Lake City, as well as two more restaurant and taproom locations.
