Saugatuck Brewing Company was founded in 2005 in Saugatuck, Michigan by Barry and Kathy Johnson. In 2019, they opened another taproom in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and in 2021, they purchased nearby rival Creston Brewery in Grand Rapids.
