The Lost Abbey was founded in 2006 in San Marcos, California by Vince Marsaglia, Gina Marsaglia, Tomme Arthur, and Jim Comstock, who created the Port Brewing Company. It was spun off from Pizza Port Brewing company, also owned by the Marsaglias. The company also produces beers under the Port and Hop Concept Labels.
