Firestone Walker Adds 805 Chelada to its Portfolio

April 13, 2025 – Firestone-Walker Brewing is adding another beer to its wildly successful 805 sub-brand. Federal filings show that the company, owned by Belgian company Duvel Moortgat, is planning on adding a michelada version of the blonde ale to its roster.

805 Chelada Salted Chili Lime claims to have “notes of tomato, lime, and spices,” and is made with natural flavors and colored with purple carrot. The 5% beer is being canned in 24oz single serve containers, though more package sizes may be yet to come.

The beer comes after Duvel’s subsidiary Mad Brewing, which owns the trademarks for Firestone Walker’s beers, filed a trademark for the term “Chillada” with the USPTO. The name appears to be a play on 805’s tagline, “Properly Chill.” No word yet on whether that was an original name for the product, or a separate product yet to be released.
