Brasserie de Tahiti was founded in 1914 in Papeete, Tahiti. It began by producing a beer called Aorai, which is now known as Hinano. In 1937, it was sold to Emil Martin, and is still held by his group The Martin Group. It also sells spirits under the Tabu name, as well other alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and water.
