What does EDITH HABERLAND WAGNER FOUNDATION Own?
The Edith Haberland Wagner Foundation was founded in 1996 in Munich, Germany upon the death of Edith Haberland-Wagner, previously the owner of 51% of Augustiner Brewery. When she received her portion of the business in 1981 upon the death of her cousin who died without a will, she resolved to create the foundation to prevent Augustiner from falling into corporate hands. The organization uses the proceeds from the brewery to promote the protection of minors, cultural exchange, and funding for the arts in the Munich area.
