What does INDIAN PEAKS BREWING COMPANY Own?
Indian Peaks Brewing Company was founded in 1993 in the city of Longmont, Colorado by Dick Doore and Eric Wallace. Doore received a homebrewing kit from his brother for Christmas three years prior. Wallace and Doore originally incorporated the business as Indian Peaks Brewing Company, but shortly after opening they changed the name to Left Hand when they discovered the name Indian Peaks was already in use by another brewery. “Left Hand” is a reference to Arapahoe Chief Niwot, whose name means Left Hand in the Arapahoe language.
In 2025, Left Hand Brewing merged with Dry Dock Brewing Company, with both companies now organized under the Indian Peaks Brewing holding company.
