March First Brewing was founded in 2017 in Sycamore, Ohio by Mark Stuhlreyer and Kevin Kluener. In 2019, they began brewing Astra Hard Seltzer, and that same year acquired FigLeaf Brewing in nearby Middleton. The following year, they also acquired Woodburn Brewing in Cincinnati.
