What does BREW DETROIT Own?
Brew Detroit was founded in 2012 by Keith Sirois, David Crawford, Don Foss, and Mark Rieth. Sirois and Crawford were previously executives at Big Boy Restaurants International, and became interested in starting a contract brewery when they noticed that many craft breweries were over-leveraged. They brought on Foss, a former used car salesman, as an investor, as well as Rieth, who was previously the owner of Atwater Brewing before selling it to Molson Coors.
The company began by contract brewing only, including for Stroh’s, but eventually it began brewing its own label. In 2019, it purchased the rights to the mock moonshine FMB brand Great America Beverages from Stout Brewing Company in North Carolina.
