Wasatch Beer was started in 1986 in Salt Lake City by Greg Schirf. In 2000, Wasatch merged with Squatter’s Beer to form the Utah Brewers Cooperative. In 2012, the cooperative was sold to Fireman Capital Partners, which started the CANarchy Craft Brewery Collective with Squatter’s Wasatch in 2015. CANarchy was sold to Monster in 2022, but as part of the agreement the brewpubs associated with Squatter’s and Wasatch were sold back to the original owners.
