1812 Brewing Company was founded in Sackets Harbor, New York in 1995 by Stephen Flynn. It was originally known as Sackets Harbor Brewing Company, and in 2008 it was acquired by Seaway Valley Capital Corporation, an investment company that had been publicly traded since 1992. In 2016, Seaway Valley Capital renamed to 1812 Brewing Company, Inc, after Sackets Harbor’s most popular beer. The brewing company rebranded to 1812 Brewing in 2022. In 2023, the company acquired nearby restaurant Maggie’s on the River in Waterton, New York, and rebranded it to align with the 1812 Brewing brand. That same year, the ownership company rebranded to KEGSNetwork.
