Kokanee is a popular beer and cider brand that was created in 1959 in Creston, British Columbia, Canada. It was originally owned by the Columbia Brewery, which was acquired by Labatt Brewing Company in 1974. In 1995, Labatt Brewing Company was purchased by Interbrew, which later merged with AmBev in 2004 to form InBev. In 2008, InBev purchased Anheuser-Busch, and named the new company Anheuser-Busch InBev.
