Taedonggang is a brand of beer produced since 2002 in Pyongyang, North Korea by Taedonggang Brewery, an enterprise of the North Korean government. The regime purchased the equipment for the brewery from the defunct Ushers of Trowbridge Brewery in Trowbridge, England, for £1.5 million. The beer was briefly exported to South Korea during a period of reduced hostilities between the nations, and can still be found in China in limited quantities today.
