BRAXTON BREWING COMPANY

What does BRAXTON BREWING COMPANY Own?

Braxton Brewery was founded in 2015 by brothers Evan and Jake Rouse in Covington, Kentucky. The brothers started the brewery in the garage of their family house on Braxton Drive in Union, Kentucky well before they were even of legal drinking age. When he was seventeen, Evan won the “Best In Show” award at the Bockfest beer festival, and the following year he was hired as an assistant brewer at Hofbrauhaus.
He worked there for three years, before deciding to start Braxton with his brother Jake. The pair signed a lease in March of 2014, and just under a year later the brewery opened its doors.

In 2018 the company introduced Garage Beer, a light lager based off of their brand’s origins. The beer was spun off into its own company, Garage Beer, in 2023. The Rouses retain a minority stake, but brand marketer Andrew Sauer is now the President and primary owner. In 2019, Braxton Brewery added a hard seltzer brand called Vive to its offerings, which helped them sign partnership deals with several nearby professional sports team. The brand never caught on, however, and by 2022 had been discontinued.
