MIKKELLER BREWING

What does MIKKELLER BREWING Own?

Mikkeller is a beer brand that was created in 2006 by Danish brewer Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, the twin brother of Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, owner of Evil Twin Brewing. The brand originally did not have a brewery of their own, and instead contracted with de Proefbrouwerij in Belgium to make their beers. The brand has opened bars and breweries throughout the world, including in southeast Asia and throughout Europe. They previously had locations in San Diego and Los Angeles, but those have since closed. In 2015 they created WarPigs as a collaboration with Indiana’s Three Floyds Brewing, but Three Floyds later pulled out after allegations of Mikkeller’s toxic culture came to light.

In 2024, it was announced that Carlsberg Group would be purchasing a 20% stake in Mikkeller.
