What does SPB HOSPITALITY Own?
SPB Hospitality is a private equity group that owns several restaurants and brewpubs, including Rock Bottom Brewing and Gordon Biersch Brewing. The company was formed as a result of the bankruptcy of CraftWorks Restaurants and Breweries, owner of both brewpub groups. SPB purchased the assets out of bankruptcy, and later purchased J. Alexander’s Holdings and Krystal Restaurants. The company is based out of Houston, Texas, with Josh Kern acting as CEO.
