What does COMPAÑÍA DE CERVECERÍAS UNIDAS Own?

Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas was created in Santiago, Chile from the merger in 1889 of Joaquín C. Plagemann’s brewery and Hoffmann and Ribbeck’s Limache Brewery. At the time, it was known as Fábrica Nacional de Cerveza, and got its current name when it went public in 1902. It consolidated most of the Chilean beer market in the early 20th century, and in 1959 it began producing Pepsi in the region.
