Quality Brewers was founded in Houston, Texas by Celia Villanueva. Villanueva had previously founded Mexcor International, a spirits importer and distributor, in 1989. In 2014, Quality Brewers began selling Frio Beer, a low carb beer marketed primarily within Texas. The company also sells Vodka under the Frio brand, as well as whiskey, gin, and aguardiente.
